First edition.
Nothing beats the magic of the big screen.

For more than twenty years, the people of Essaouira had forgotten the way to the cinema, even though for many years the city had a legendary picture house showing Italian, French and American films.
From Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 October 2022, the Essaouira Mogador Association, in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Morocco, launched a new event: La Dolce Vita à Mogador, celebrating Italian cinema and inviting audiences of all kinds to enjoy the pleasures of the seventh art.
To celebrate this first edition, Essaouira gave carte blanche to Sergio Gobbi, who wrote, produced and directed some sixty films, including “Le Temps des loups”, “Un beau monstre” and “Les galets d’Étretat”.
A free selection of around ten films — classics, previews, films for young audiences — and encounters with film professionals: a fine way to turn the page on the pandemic.
